As a Senior Associate in the Property/Commercial Division of the firm, Richard is responsible for/focuses on the areas of commercial, business, revenue and property (including rural) law. He has over 17 years of industry expertise.
In commercial and business law, Richard advises on business sales & purchases; business structures and transactions; corporate and commercial advising; employment law including agreements and disputes; trusts, including changing trustees, variations and general advice; stamp duty (including corporate consolidation transactions, corporate reconstruction transactions and transfers to Superannuation funds), land tax and GST issues.
His expertise in wills and estates law includes wills; attorney appointments; guardian appointments; and estate administration and advice.
In Property law, he has specifically worked in commercial & retail property leasing for commercial offices, shopping centres and individual shops and premises; Property development and construction; Residential and commercial sales and purchases; and Retirement village contracts.
Since joining Diamond Conway in January 2011, Richard has been involved in delivering quality service to a wide range of small and medium sized enterprises including retirement villages, restaurants & hospitality, manufacturing and medical fields.
Richard brings with him extensive experience, excellent communication skills and plain language, combined with a practical and commercial approach, Richard has built close relationships with his clients and their advisors.
Prior to joining Diamond Conway, Richard was a lawyer at BTS Lawyers that joined Diamond Conway in 2011.
Prior to being admitted as a solicitor in 1996, Richard worked at the Office of State Revenue.
Richard is a member of the Law Society of NSW.
